Slide Notes
Arnold Worldwide is a top advertising agency that places an emphasis on leadership. Their manifesto, culture and environment stems from the fact that their workers are more than just employees. They are storytellers, artists, musicians, filmmakers, designers, producers, social media mavens, thinkers, dreamers, marketers and so on. They are people who love to make stuff! Being around this creative energy is where I want to be.
Slide 3: Arnold has a wide variety of clients such as McDonalds, Progressive, Jack Daniel's, New Balance, Carnival etc. I specifically was under the Titlesist account in the Marketing Production department. Basically, marketing production is the middleman between the creative and the client. They build strategies for print and TV and oversee projects to keep it all in line for a client's objective. An important part of the job is also tracking competitors.
Slide 4: One of the many tasks I had on my plate was to regularly update Titleist's competitor tacking blog. This was shared with Titleist's senior marketing clients via email and kept them up to date with their competitor's actions, accomplishments and new campaigns.
- magazines come in weekly
- look through them
- pull out all new competitor ads in magazine
- scan, crop, pdf
- write up and format blurb text
- manager edits and approves
Slide 6: Prepared presentation decks and boards for biannual ball and club client meetings.
Slide 7: Drove PGA Tour Next Generation campaign by compiling extant rookie tracking efforts and suggesting fresh insights.
Slide 8: Prepared competitor comparative analysis using fiscal year reports to asses the impact of parent companies on their individual golf brands. Used an excel sheet to identify parent companies, golf companies, subsidiaries, parent revenues, golf revenue percentage of parent revenue, total US advertising, global presence, future goals and notable strengths/ successes. I did this for Nike, Adidas - TaylorMade, Bridgestone Golf, Sumitomo Ruber Industries - Srixon and Amer Sports Oyj - Wilson Staff.
